Electric Hairball Beer Branding Package

The Brief: Create a brand identity kit featuring a logo that captures Electric Hairball’s target audience as a homebrew brand and develop a brand strategy that allows for future growth and development.

Context: Electric Hairball’s owner’s came to me in late 2020 looking for someone to capture the brand image they had in mind. They were starting from scratch (pun intended), and wanted to go through the experience of developing the brand from the ground up in order to capture their hopes for it.

Results: The owners love the branding and are building promotional materials slowly while also working brewing their next delicious batch of beer. While not intended for mass-market release at this time they do have room to grow and ambitions that could lead this brewery out of the basement and onto store shelves.

Mockups of promotional materials were key in this process, giving my clients a view of what the brand could, even if they had no current intent to produce their own labels at this time.

EHB-Style-Guide.jpg

A quick check style guide with an overview of the intended design of the brand. This allows for a cohesive quick reference to show how the brand should be used in day-to-day settings. This includes logo variants, label references, colors, and fonts along with stripped down versions of the logo for use in monochromatic printing. Along with this many variants on the icon which has its uses in many places as the brand scales such as websites, social media, and in print.

Bottlecaps were massively important to the brand upon first creation. These are the main branding for home-brew bottlers like EHB as it doesn’t involve the production or monetary commitment of standard bottle labeling.
