Hey, I’m Mat
I’m a graphic designer based in Chicago, IL. I’ve always been interested in design, even as a child I would analyze and critique design and try and think of more powerful solutions to problems without even realizing what I was doing. It was only later on that I realized the power of graphic design, branding, and effective audience outreach.
I attended Columbia College Chicago from 2010-2014 to study animation and the art of filmmaking. I worked as a freelance artist and graphic designer through 2019, where I began my journey into more business minded design. I worked as a graphic designer at Neil Enterprises from 2019-2020 and joined Carousel Checks as a Graphic Designer in fall 2020 where I currently work and have taken on a great deal of project management for the department.
In my free time I like to ride my bike, rock climb, and perform long-form improv. I also have a deep interest in illustration and children’s literature. To see my illustration work please visit matdraws.com.
